Sky have released pricing for Sky Q and its available now.
If you are an existing Sky+ customer, Sky Q will typically add £12 to your monthly subscription. For new customers the basic cost will be between £42 and £54 per month depending on the package you choose.
As for one off fee’s, unfortunately there are some and they can be quite hefty. There is what Sky call a “Smart features fee”, if you’ve ordered the Sky Q box it’s £249, if you’ve ordered the range topping Sky Q Silver box then the fee rises to £299. This is discounted to £99 if you already have Sky Broadband, Sky Sports or Sky Movies. If you add Sky Sports and or Movies to your subscription at full price or sign up to 18 months of Sky broadband plus Sky Talk with a minimum package of Sky Broadband Unlimited, then you also get this discounted price.
The equipment is technically free but I think the cost is covered in the Smart Features fee. You get a Sky Q Mini box included in the price, this allows you to view Sky in another room without the need for a connection to the satellite dish. An extra box will cost an additional one off fee of £99. If you also want the Sky Q hub (only works for Sky Broadband customers) then it’s another £49. To top all that off there is a £50 install and set up fee.
